Secret menus have been discovered by superfans at McDonalds, Chipotle and Starbucks…and now at your fave chicken hotspot, Nando’s.

Yep, that’s right, with a few simple ordering hacks you can get access to off-menu dishes, from burritos to cheesy garlic bread.

A handful have been shared by fans on social media, so here’s a round-up of some of the tastiest tricks for you to try out on your next Nando’s trip.

Nando’s secret menu: Nando's burrito

Ask for your normal order in a wrap, and order spicy rice on the side. THEN when your food arrives, unwrap the wrap, stuff the rice inside and VOILA! You have yourself a bona fide Nando’s burrito.

Nando’s secret menu: The #Merky

This one is Stormzy-inspired. He tweeted that he had created a secret menu hack by sandwiching halloumi in between two slices of garlic bread.

This prompted Nando’s to actually add a #Merky burger to the menu: grilled halloumi in a toasted Portguese roll with garlic and chilli.

Or if you just want a garlic bread burger, order garlic bread on the side of your usual order, swap the bread for your garlic bread and there you have it!

Nando’s secret menu: Cheesy mash

Want to make your mash a bit cheesy? This is one is VERY simple – but you’ve probs never thought of it. Just ask for a slice of cheese and allow it to melt into the potato mash. YUM.

Nando’s secret menu: Cheesy garlic bread

Very similar, just ask for a few slices of cheese with your garlic bread, pop them on top and let them melt the hot bread.

Some places will cotton on and stick the cheese on top for you.

Nando’s secret menu: Hidden flavours

If you want to tone down the spice of your chicken, order it in the Peri-Tamer flavour off the kids menu. This gives your dish a mellow barbecue flavour - and it’s a low-calorie option.

OR if you want the barbecue taste but you also want some spice, ask for the Peri-FLAMER, barbecue chicken with a Peri-Peri kick.

You are welcome!
