Calling all chocolate lovers! There's a new flavour of Maltesers now available, but unfortunately it's only in Australia - a bit far for a trip to the shops then! Don't despair though, there's still some good news. Earlier this month, the new raspberry flavour was released down under, and photos of the exciting new product have been circulating around the Internet since their release.
According to an Instagram account called chamberofsnackrets, the raspberry flavour is 'much more of an artificial raspberry flavour more like cordial' but 'Super tasty 9/10'!
Whilst unfortunately for those over this side of the world, it is unlikely we'll be able to try them any time soon, according to Metro.co.uk, Mars (who make Maltesers) said, ‘MALTESERS® is the UK’s number one boxed chocolate brand and we’re pleased to see the excitement continue from our launch of MALTESERS® Buttons and MALTESERS® Truffles earlier this year.'
They then dashed the hopes that we in the UK might get the new flavour, saying, ‘Raspberry flavour MALTESERS® are currently only available in Australia and we have no plans for a UK launch, but watch this space for other exciting new products from Mars Wrigley Confectionery!’

However, despite Mars saying that they have no plans to release the new flavour here, British chocolate-lovers have been commenting on photos of the new product asking it to be released here. One user said, '@MaltesersUK please, please, please sell the raspberry flavoured Maltesers in the U.K.', with another commenting, 'Now there are something I must try... fingers crossed we start to see them on our UK Shelves!'
Whilst it still looks unlikely that the new flavour will be available in the UK, there are some new Malteser products which have been launched this year including Maltesers Buttons and Truffles and as the statement revealed they will be launching some more new products this year too.
