It’s official – Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom are the new Xtra Factor hosts!
Which is all very exciting, but we do feel a bit bad for their partners. Rochelle is married to Marvin Humes, and the couple regularly do presenting slots together. But that’s nothing compared to the fact that Simon Cowell has split up Kiss FM’s Rickie and Melvin. Melvin will no longer be working with his partner in crime, Rickie Haywood-Williams.

In fact, everyone was expecting Rickie and Melvin to host the show together after extensive auditions as a twosome. But big boss Simon thought had other plans…
A source told The Sun: “The two boys auditioned together and all the vibes were that they were going to get the gig together.
“But Cowell has now decided he wants to pair Melvin with Rochelle. It’s like splitting up Ant and Dec – you can imagine how Rickie feels.”
We also feel bad for last year’s host, Sarah-Jane Crawford. Where will she go? What will she do?
Ah well…
Talking about joining the show, Rochelle said: "I have watched The Xtra Factor for years so I am beyond excited about joining such a brilliant team and getting to work with my old friend Melvin makes it even better. I also can’t wait to meet the contestants and be a part of their X Factor experience.”
Melvin said: “I’ve always been a massive fan of the show and to get to present The Xtra Factor is a dream for me. We are there to support the contestants and have fun – I’m really looking forward to it!”
