“How’s Adam?” EastEnders’ Tanya Branning actress Jo Joyner fluffs lines in LIVE episode!

Never work with children, animals or on live TV – we think that's the saying – and it looks like the EastEnders cast will be wanting to steer well clear after last night's live scenes.

Poor Jo Joyner, who plays the fabulous-haired Tanya Branning, was left cringing inside after getting the names of her co-star Adam Woodyatt and his character Ian Beale mixed up live on camera.

And, let's face it, we cringed with her.

Here's what happened: Tanya had returned to Albert Square for Ian and Jane Beale's big wedding and was having a nice pre-marital chat with Jane with a glass of buck's fizz.

"I couldn't miss your big day, could I?" she told Jane, "Even if it does mean bumping into the bald ginger one [ex-husband Max Branning].

"How's Adam?" she continued, while Jane (aka Laurie Brett) looked at her with major panic in her eyes. "Oh god," you can see her thinking. "Please, no."

There are then several seconds of silence in which you can HEAR both actresses dropping hella swearwords inwardly.

Luckily a loud bang – caused by the stage manager dropping down dead, we presume, or somebody punching themselves in the face to escape the tension – distracted both actresses, and we were able to move on.

Jeez. We'd better find out who killed Lucy Beale in tonight's full 60-minute live episode, because our nerves can't take much more of this.
