“Carrie,” croaks Samantha. “Carrie. Come here.” She’s naked in the bathroom, holding up her boobs with both hands. “Pass me that prune juice. That early bird special was naaaht gluten-free.” She inches over to the wardrobe. “Did you see that hot guy downstairs? I’m going to ride the hell outta him.” The camera slowly pans out to show an 86-year-old Samantha Jones babbling to herself in a care home as her family peer through the glass pane of her door in tears.
Anyway, Sex And The City 3 might be a-go-go. We say might, but nobody seems to know for certain – least of all the star of the hit HBO TV show, Sarah Jessica Parker, who made a veiled reference to a potential second sequel on Twitter.
SJP, who played Carrie between 1998 and 2004, and then again in the first and second films, tweeted her co-star Kristin Davies (Charlotte) to say this:
Obviously the internet spied their little exchange, and a whole new rumour mill creaked into life.
It’s not the first time in recent weeks a SATC3 proposal has been floated, with Jennifer Hudson, who played Carrie’s assistant in the first film, telling Dish Nation that she thinks “it might be [happening]”.
“Somebody just came to me talking about that. So if it’s in the talks, it might happen. So look out for your girl Louise from St Louis,” she added.
Meanwhile, SJP taken time out of her busy schedule of being absolutely lovely to people on Twitter to help track down the owner of a cheque she found in New York.
The actress and a friend came across the $4,700 slip of paper lying in the street and has been googling the signatory on it. Any chance we could claim it, d’ya think?
