When Bertie Carvel who plays Doctor Foster’s Simon appeared on today’s episode of This Morning, we literally had to do a double take.
Beard-free, the 40-year-old the actor playing Doctor Foster's cheating husband, was barely recognisable.
He came on the show to chat about the BBC drama that's had us totally hooked for the past few weeks, talking about last week's cliff-hanger and tonight’s finale.
But viewers were very confused, and Twitter soon exploded with tweets about his total transformation.
Presenters, Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield were also surprised to see him without his beard and commented on his new look.
Bertie put it down to “acting and the beard”. Hmm.
He didn’t reveal whether Doctor Foster would be back again for a third series, and some viewers felt the whole interview was pretty awkward.
Ah well, we still can't WAIT for the grand finale tonight - 9pm really can't come soon enough.
