That means it almost time for this year’s Halloween special of The Simpsons.

The Treehouse Of Horror XXVI episode has been given a* Ren & Stimpy* twist, and quite frankly, it’s terrifying. The special episode has been animated by* Ren & Stimpy* animator John Kricfalusi, and features Bart, Maggie and Lisa Simpson wandering into a spooky graveyard in the search of trick or treat candy.
But unfortunately for the little yellow fellas, they make the acquaintance of a bunch of spooky ghouls and a truly horrific monster, who peels Bart’s head like a banana and eats his brain.
After the kids run back home to safety (or not), he then gatecrashes the Simpsons on their couch and reaches down to pull out Homer's soul.

The episode airs in the US on 25 October on Fox.
