We’d started to get really excited about her bringing her soggy bottom wit to the car show.
The speculation began when an insider from the Beeb told the Sun: “If we replaced Clarkson with a lesbian he'd be turning in his leather jacket.”
The bookies then placed Sue as the favourite to front the show, with Dermot and Jodie Kidd hot on her heels.
Meanwhile, Jeremy was lined up to make his BBC comeback as a guest presenter on Have I Got News For You but tonight pulled out for unknown reasons.
