Christmas Day is almost upon us, so make sure you won't be caught out needing that last minute bottle of wine or mince pies! We've gathered together the opening hours of some of the main supermarkets, so you don't have to search.
Aldi
In the run-up to Christmas Eve, they are open as usual from 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday.
Christmas Eve - 8am-6pm
Christmas Day - CLOSED
Boxing Day - CLOSED
27th - 30th December - 8am-10pm
New Year’s Eve - 8am-6pm
New Year’s Day - CLOSED
2nd Jan - 8am-10pm

Opening times differ according to location, however as a rule the following opening hours will apply.

Boxing Day - Majority will be open from 9am-6pm

New Year’s Day - 10am-6pm

Sainsbury's
Store opening and closing times vary from store to store so it’s best to check the store locator on their website for the details.
Christmas Eve – All of their supermarkets and convenience stores are open, (with the exception of eight convenience stores in Central London). As Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, their supermarkets and larger convenience stores will be trading their usual Sunday hours.
Christmas Day – All of their stores in Scotland are closed on Christmas Day.
Boxing Day – The majority of their stores are open.

Tesco
Tesco will remain open throughout the Christmas period, only closing on Christmas Day. Tesco Express stores will be generally be open until 10pm, and larger Tesco stores will be open similar to their usual Sunday trading hours.
