There’s nothing better than heading down to the local boozer with your best pal, is there?
But what if (semi-tragically) your best pal is your dog? They do say those guys are a man’s best friend, after all…
Well, great news – you can now take Spot, Fido, Mr. Snuggles or whatever your fluffy friend’s name is down to your local for a pint of poochy Pale Ale. Because Belgian beer company Snuffle have only gone and brewed a beer especially for dogs, haven’t they?
“Belgium is famous for its beer,” Snuffle spokesman Stefaan Dielens told Sam Rowe at The Telegraph. “So for us the goal is to also have the very best beer for dogs – it must be from Belgium.
“At the moment, if a dog sees you drinking he might come over and think ‘Hey, where’s mine?’ But we hope there will now be a stronger connection between dog and owner.”
Now we know what you’re thinking: ‘What if I accidentally guzzle down a bottle of Snuffle instead of my regular Sainsbury’s own brand French lager?’
Well panic not, booze fans…
“All the ingredients are also good for people,” claims Stefaan. “It’s made in a brewery, so it’s made like normal beer, only we don’t add the alcohol and the last ingredient is beef or chicken.
“But you can drink it. I’ve had a bottle of Snuffle – it tastes a bit like chicken bouillon.”
Mmmmm, chicken bouillon booze…
