Quality Street have once again AXED the Toffee Deluxe and replaced it with a caramel brownie chocolate

Fans are not happy!

Toffee Deluxe Quality Street

It's crunch time for Quality Street fans, as for the second time in two years, the brand have axed the much loved Toffee Deluxe - and it's safe to say that customers are less than impressed with the dismissal of the chocolately treat. A replacement sweet has been announced, however fans are not feeling it (or should we say, tasting it?)

Quality Street took to their Twitter earlier today (17th May) to confirm the news to fans, writing, 'There's no plans for it return this time.' Many fans responded immediately, with one even referring to the move as a 'travesty'.

One fan even added, 'This has ruined my Friday tbh🙄' [sic]. Hasn't it just...

The sweet treat is reportedly being replaced with a new Chocolate Caramel brownie flavour, but we don't advise getting your hopes up too soon, as many avid chocolatiers have complained that the snack is significantly lacking in brownie, leaving us with a primarily caramel filling.

This isn't the first time the Toffee Deluxe, which was one of the originals when Quality Street launched in 1936, has hit a snag in the road - being removed from the box back in 2016. They ended up bring the flavour back just in time for Christmas a year later.

A spokesperson for Nestle said, "Well, we know we got your attention the last time we dropped the Toffee Deluxe so couldn’t resist trying it again."
