TOWIE’s Gemma Collins compares herself to the Olsen twins: “I’m really into spiritual stuff now”

Gemma Collins has compared herself to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and bigged up yoga in her first – very bizarre – interview since quitting TOWIE.

The reality star told the Sun that she’s no longer worrying about what to wear or how she looks since leaving the show.

“I quit TOWIE because I decided it was time to move on with my life. I’d had enough of people ripping into me all the time,” she explained.

Yep.

She also talked about a new-found love of “spiritual stuff”, like yoga, saying: “I’m right into spiritual stuff at the moment. I’ve been doing yoga, omming and meditating every day, and I’m really in a good place.

“I’ve got lots of exciting things coming up. If everything goes tits up, you’ll see me flogging clothes down Romford Market but I think I’m too much of a fighter to let that happen.”

There’s loads of speculation that Gemma’s heading into the Celebrity Big Brother house, given her strategic timing handing in her TOWIE notice, but she has neither confirmed or denied the rumours.

Instead, she said she’d be well up for another stab at I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! when it returns to ITV this autumn.

“I am comedy bloody gold, which is why I was good on the show,” she claimed.

“I quit because I knew people weren’t going to see the happy, fun Gemma, getting in there and mixing in. I was so drained I couldn’t focus.

“Everything would be different a second time. I’d be like Lara Croft and Angelina Jolie rolled into one and I’d do the tasks. I’m not scared of nothing.”

Uh-huh. CBB starts this Thursday, August 27, on Channel 5.
