As if we didn’t have enough on our plates already, what with dealing with the fact Justin Bieber’s actual penis is on the internet now, and Bruce Forsyth’s in hospital with a bumped head. As if we weren’t stressed enough.
Oh no. Ohhooo no. Some wise guy at Disney Pixar has decided today is the best day to announce the news that the long-awaited fourth part of the Toy Story movie franchise has been pushed back ANOTHER YEAR, meaning we won’t be able to watch it for another THREE YEARS.
The LA Times broke the story today, quietly, presumably so that people wouldn’t riot in the streets. WELL GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, THE LA TIMES.
Originally scheduled for release in the US on 16 June 2017 – which was going to be bad enough – Toy Story 4 has now been rearranged for 15 June 2018. We wish there were words to describe just how devastating a blow this is for our entire 2017, but there aren’t.
And you know what’s worse? 16 June 2017 is now the release date for Cars 3. CARS F**KING 3. You can actually taste the betrayal on your tongue, can’t you?
Toy Story 4 is supposed to pick up where 2010’s third film left off, with Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the other toys living in little Bonnie’s home.
The very first Toy Story was released in 1995, so by the time the fourth one comes out, the toys will be 23 years older.
AS WILL WE, DISNEY PIXAR. AS WILL WE.
