‘Time is a flat MONEY, BABY!’ news now, and gigantic human Vince Vaughn has been confirmed for season two of HBO’s True Detective.

Vince — who is 18cm taller than his soon-to-be co-star, tiny Irishman Colin Farrell — will play tall career criminal Frank Semyon, opposite Farrell’s torn-between-good-and-evil cop Ray Velcoro.

SAMPLE SCENE WE JUST MADE UP

COLIN FARRELL: Yah got tah stop committing all them croimes, Semyon!

VINCE VAUGHN: But crimes generate money, baby!

[COLIN FARRELL breaks a MUG on a table]

COLIN FARRELL: God-DAMMIT!

VINCE VAUGHN: Also, remember you… once did a crime

[COLIN FARRELL holds his HEAD and SCREAMS]

COLIN FARRELL: N–no!

VINCE VAUGHN: [Whispering] Money

ANYWAY

Anyway, with director Justin Lin confirming the cast calls for three corrupt cops to foil Vaughn’s career criminal, there is still an announcement or two yet to come: it’s expected Taylor Kitsch will take the role of one of the two other police officers, with the third — surely, please, surely — going to an actress. Oona Chaplin, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Biel are among those thought to be in the running, while Keira Knightley’s name has also been bandied around. Filming is set to take place in the next month or so in California, where the transport system-centric series will be set.
