And that’s not all – there’s also going to be a version of the show for kids. And guess what it’s called? That’s right…* The Voice Kids.* But none of this will happen until 2017, mind you…

ITV announced that it has signed a three-year deal for The Voice after the BBC lost out on the rights to the show.

But don’t panic – this doesn’t mean the end of The X Factor. ITV's Peter Fincham said The Voice had a place "alongside" it.

"ITV is the natural home of big entertainment so we are thrilled that The Voice and The Voice Kids are both joining our family alongside brilliant shows like* The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, Saturday Night Takeaway* and I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

Earlier this month ITV confirmed its contract with The X Factor had another year left to run, and said it planned to air a new series in 2016.

The Voice, which started in 2010, is owned by production company Talpa Global.

It now has around 65 versions in 180 countries, and nearly 30 versions of the junior edition The Voice Kids.

Blimey.
