This is your heads up because there are MAJOR spoilers coming up – if you haven't yet watch the final episode of the Great British Bake Off 2014, GET THE HELL OFF THIS PAGE!

As for the rest of you, the winner is… NANCY BIRTWHISTLE!!!

Nancy impressed judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood tonight with her cool demeanour in the face of extreme baking and wowed them with her stunning Showstopper – a miniature version of Paris's famous Moulin Rouge.

Earlier in the show, she'd created apple and lemon kites and raspberry and almond croissants for her Signature bake, then went on to bake some seriously profresh-looking scones, Victoria sandwiches and tartes au citron in the Technical Challenge.

Mary and Paul praised her ability to stay resolutely unflustered in the heat and commended her for her 'perfection' in her final bake.

Sadly, for fellow finalists Richard and Luis, their creations weren't quite up to scratch – Richard managed to serve up what could only be described as scrambled eggs at one point, though his windmill Showstopper did look amazing, while Luis' chocolatey tribute to his home town was amazing but lacked flavour.

CONGRATULATIONS, NANCY!
