We won't lie, our day-to-day work attire tends to involve some kind of hoodie, ripped jeans and trainers that've arguably seen better days. You could say we're less The Devil Wears Prada, more The Devil Wears Primark. But they do say 'if you can't beat them, join them'; and since London Fashion Week's in town we thought we'd see what all the fuss was about.
Yep - with things kicking off last Friday we couldn't resist popping along to the super swanky Wonderland x MTV party with our pals from Luc Belaire. Hey - if it's good enough for the celeb-types to sip on, it's good enough for us.
And what can we say? The party did not disappoint. For starters it was hosted at The Ned; London's hottest new hangout frequented by everyone from Brooklyn Beckham to Nick Grimshaw. Seriously, there were famous faces in every direction; Luc Belaire in-hand, talking oh-so-fashionable things with oh-so-fashionable people.
We'll tell you what - if this is how the other half live, we could get on board with it. While we're more used to sausage rolls and pizza fingers on the party buffet, the canapés at the Wonderland x MTV bash were next level. At one point someone offered us an entire cheeseburger, which we practically inhaled within seconds.
That's what Anna Wintour would do, right?
Between said canapés and flowing Luc Belaire we were treated to a DJ set from Jodie Harsh and performance from big new popstar-type-person Kara Marni.
Also, can we discuss the decor? We're already claiming the kids'-party-meets-American-high-school prom vibe for our next birthday party, minus the whole private members' club element. Ours will probably be down the local gold club, to be honest.
Thanks again to Luc Belaire for taking us along to the party.
