WARNING SPOILERS
*13 Reasons Why *is all the heat office / anyone with a Netflix account is talking about right now, and for good reason. It's not often that a TV show can generate so many important discussions about mental health, society in general and leave viewers with so many unanswered questions.
And like many other popular series, prominent fan theories about 13 Reasons Why are just starting to come to light and we just can't get enough of 'em.
One theory, that is currently doing the rounds on Twitter, centres around Alex, who shoots himself in a shocking twist at the end of the series – implying that Alex was unable to live with the guilt over Hannah Baker.
The theory suggests that Alex didn't shoot himself, but was in fact murdered by Tyler the photographer, who was seen removing Alex's picture in the dark room, leaving behind the rest of the students.
According to many viewers, the final scene implies that he is killing off those who wronged Hannah one by one. In some sort of order. And we did see that Tyler owned a gun earlier on in the series, so why would they show that if it wasn't important/related to the ending?
Blimey.
The show's finale definitely contained many cliff-hangers, and asked questions that were left unanswered and even the cast have already been discussing the possibility of a second series.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly Dylan Minnette (Clay) revealed "I honestly did not realise how much was going to be left open at the end.
"I think that there’s potential to know more about these characters and I think that there are good stories to be told. I also feel like if that was the ending, it’s also a beautiful way to end it."
What do you make of all that then? We think we need a lie down ngl.
