Like many controversial hip-hop artists, Honey G has divided the nation.

There was the petition that went round to get her kicked off The X Factor and people have even been saying she's an actor catfishing the show and is proof that X Factor is a fix.

Honey G's scheduled appearance at what sounds like the best nightclub ever, Kittys & Kandy, on the night of the X Factor final really got people riled up.

Personally, we ABSOLUTELY LOVE the rapper from north Weezy, and the only conspiracy we're backing is that Honey – real name Anna Gilford – is actually David Cameron in a wig.

The resemblance is uncanny.

Anyway: while we're firm fans, it has come to our attention that not everyone in the music biz is as Honey G-obsessed as we are.

DJ Talent – remember the gold-suited rap, lyrical genius from Britain's Got Talent – certainly isn’t likely to become a groupie, he recently threatened to take Honey G on The Jeremy Kyle Show over claims she has stolen his lyrics.

We also heard that singer John Legend wasn't exactly blown away by our fave X Factor contestant.

After spending time with each of the X Factor hopefuls ahead of the weekend's live shows, John likened Honey G to a novelty act.

The cheek.

"You know; people are obviously getting caught up in the novelty of it. The song she had chosen, I thought, heightened the novelty of her because it was referencing another novelty act, which I thought wasn't the best idea, so I told her that," he said according to the Daily Mirror.

Well, everyone's entitled to their opinion John.

However, while Honey G is proving she's not everyone's cup of tea, a number of famous faces are stepping up in defence of the X Factor star.

One celeb standing by Honey is rap icon 50 Cent.

Yep, we can’t believe it either.

50 Cent has shown his support for Honey G in response to those claims of racism and cultural appropriation.

"People be crazy saying Honey G's act is racist. For anybody who thinks a white person performing music of black origin is racist, you know they don't know what racism really is, " he said, according to the Mirror.

"She is entertaining, and I guarantee there is not going to be a hip-hop artist in the world who is going to be offended by her, " he added.

Cheers, Fiddy. Could a collaboration be on the cards?
