WOT IS GOING ON?

Lord Sugar Apprentice

If you thought Nick Hewer leaving The Apprentice the year before last was bad (WE MISS YOU, NICK), then just IMAGINE if Alan Sugar himself did a runner.

There wouldn't be a show, probably.

Diehard fans of The Apprentice will know that it has had two main formats in its time.

When it began (and in the time of Katie Hopkins et al), contestants were competing for a job with Alan Sugar, whereas now they compete for a £250,000 investment for their own business idea.

And it turns out Lord Sugar wasn't pleased with the former.

"It wasn’t a good idea and that was it.

"I said, 'I’m not doing that any more'," he told The Sun.

We're kinda agreeing with him – all that lengthy process / boardroom tellings off / public humiliation for a job? Really?

Lord Sugar has now invested a whopping £1.35million into winning contestants' businesses.

Apprentice 2016

Blimey.

"I would frankly not be still doing this if I hadn’t changed the format."

In equally-as-alarming Apprentice news, Claude Littner has thrown MEGA SHADE at Nick.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, he said: "When I saw Nick on television, he just appeared as though he was pulling faces. He didn't really seem to contribute much."

Claude Littner

We are shocked. SHOCKED.

Nick's faces were basically are favourite element of the whole thing.

Nick Hewer

"I thought it seemed like a real non-job," he continued. "I thought I'd rather do the interviews."

Susanna Reid (interviewing him) then said what we're all thinking.

"That was a major burn."

Yes. Yes, it was.

The Apprentice starts TONIGHT (October 6) at 8pm on BBC1.

IN OTHER NEWS:

Zac Efron posts HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL SELFIE and we can't cope. Will there be a fourth movie? WILL THERE? Probably not, but it's still EXCITING.

[People are really sad about Mel Giedroyc’s joke on last night’s GBBO :{href='planetradio.co.uk/heat/entertainment/tv-movies/great-british-bake-mel-giedroyc-joke/' }. Watching Bake Off is so much harder now we know what we knoe :(.

The X Factor house is apparently in some sort of ‘Red Light District’. And prime dogging spot.

Selasi Gbormittah’s weekly Great British Bake Off parties look INSANE. WHEN will Selasi be our boyfriend? WHEN?
