After Ant McPartlin took a year off from showbiz in 2018, Holly Willoughby did an amazing job presenting the show alongside Dec Donnelly, and Ant was keen to let her have her moment at the BAFTAs last night.
When the popular show was announced as the winner, the whole crew got up on stage, with Ant pushing a reluctant Holly to the front alongside Dec, who gave the acceptance speech.
Viewers at home were quick to praise Ant, one user wrote, 'I love that Ant went up with the others for @imacelebrity, it is still his show, no matter what people say. And I love that he pushed @hollywills forward!! And to those saying that Dec was being all anti-feminist, it is actually true, Holly was just helping them out last year.' [sic]
Another added, 'Absolutely loved that Ant was reluctant going up and let Holly take the credit as it should be! Great series, thoroughly deserved!! Well done xx @antanddec'. [sic]
A third then wrote, 'So much respect for Ant making absolute sure that Holly took the credit for the I’m A Celeb win 🙌🏻 I love how close they all are and I love that him and Dec are back together and moving forward after everything ❤️ #BAFTATV'. [sic]
Dec was also quick to praise Holly, he told the audience, "Thank you Holly for helping me out last year. You did a fantastic job standing in for Ant, who has reluctantly come up here tonight."
He later added, "He's still part of the team as well. Thank you Bafta this is a wonderful surprise have a wonderful evening."
Congratulations to all of the winners!
