Antonio Banderas has revealed that he was devestated and almost brought to tears when Taylor Swift was super-excited to meet him, but not because she was interested in him.

Speaking to heat, Antonio remarked on how thrilled he was to meet the 25-year-old beauty "with her long hair and long legs", but then realised it was another, more senior Swift that had the hots for him, and not Taylor.

More news!

"Taylor Swift was singing on the stage and I was sitting down at one table, having dinner. And I had to go on stage to do a little speech, so she came down the stairs and saw me and said 'Oh Antonio Banderas' and I thought 'Wow, Taylor Swift knows me. That's so cool'.

"Then she looks as me and she says, 'My grandmother LOVES your movies' and I said: 'Great, thank you, it was a pleasure meeting you too'. And I almost got tears in my eyes."

The 54-year-old who was promoting his new film, Spongebob Square Pants: Sponge Out Of Water, has also revealed that he plans to move to London to study fashion. Yep, from action movies and fighting sponges to making nice trousers.

Speaking on Loose Women, Antonio said: “It’s something that I am going to do, I am going to study clothing design. It’s something that has been on my mind for a long time and probably one of the best schools in the world is here, St Martin’s University and so I am going to start studying with them.”

He also said he refuses to watch *Fifty Shades Of Grey, which stars *his step-daughter Dakota Johnson: “No, no, no. Dakota when she was four years old, I changed her nappies. It’s very weird to go and see the movie. If it was on television one day, I will pass, ‘oh there she is!’” [He pretends to hold a remote and channel hop].

Spongebob Square Pants: Sponge Out Of Water hits cinemas on March 27
