If turning up on your wedding day, walking down the aisle and rocking up to the alter to come face-to-face with someone you’ve never so much as shared an awkward glance on the tube with floats your boat, then we’ve got some exciting news for you.
Channel 4 are currently on the hunt for willing participants to take part in the next series of Married At First Sight.
For those of you who haven’t seen the (potentially problematic) show yet, allow us to briefly familiarize you with the format.
It basically consists of relationship experts using ‘science’ to match two complete randoms together, who then proceed to get married in front of all their families and friends before ever having laid eyes on each other.
The show then follows the newlyweds in the months following their wedding, as the two total strangers adjust to married life. It’s WILD, and we love it.
A call for willing singletons recently appeared on Channel 4’s Take Part page.
“We’re looking for singles to take part in a potential fourth series of Married at First Sight,” the ad reads.
In order to apply for the next series, applicants will need to be aged 18 or over and ‘feel ready for marriage’.
A big ask, in our opinion.
The ad also states that you cannot apply if you have already been married or if you have children.
If you’re single and fit the above criteria, then all you need to do to apply for consideration is send you name, age, location, phone number and email address to marriedatfirstsight.cplproductions.co.uk.
What are ya waiting for, eh?
