I recently decided that I’d give Amazon Prime a whirl – mostly because I could stream one of my favourite films, Clueless, over and over again. Then, there was the laugh-out-loud series, Fleabag, that I wanted to re-watch. Don't even get me started on the Amazon originals and exclusives I wanted to get into... Think Carnival Row, Vikings and Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show. OBVS!
I tasked myself with watching these over my 30-day free trial. I know that it was a VERY big task, but I was determined to commit. So, I was streaming at every free opportunity and what I released was that my phone was majorly outdated. It couldn’t keep up with my demands.
I needed a phone that was big enough for me, had good definition so I knew what I was watching and had lots of memory/internet so it wouldn't buffer. It’s almost 2020, you wouldn’t think that was too much to ask 🤔.
To complete my Prime Video mission, I sadly needed to upgrade my phone. I spent too many lunch hours frustrated that I couldn’t watch enough One Tree Hill.
If you’re looking for a new phone that'll satisfy your binge-watching needs, then you’ve come to the right place. Whether you catch up on the latest series on your commute or sneak in an episode while you’re cooking, here are all the best phones to stream on.

The best phones for watching TV on
Apple iPhone 11
iPhone pretty much sells its self, right? This has lots of battery life, so you shouldn't drain too much streaming shows like Stranger Things. If it does run low, you'll be able to charge up to 50% in around 30 minutes. Plus, it had an uplift to its sound system, so it'll feel like you're in on the action. Buzzing!Price: £729.00 Amazon.co.uk
Samsung Galaxy M20
From one big screen to another, the Samsung Galaxy M20 will not disappoint! If this phone could be an emoji, it would be straight up flames. It's 6.3 inches, and we all know that's above average ud83cudf46. OK so it's not the best for taking selfies on - unless you like 2010 blurred vibes, but it does the job for streaming on. Price: £179.99Amazon.co.uk
Huawei P30 Pro
Nobody wants to be a basic bitch, but if the shoe fits ud83eudd37… I can't lie… the new colours (Mystic Blue and Misty Lavender) instantly drew me to this phone. It takes me back to my pink Motorola Razr – which I wish they'd re-release as a smartphone version. Back to the Huawei, it has countless reasons to bag it – but for watching movies on the go, its powerful sound is unrivalled. It doesn't just have a speaker on the top of the phone, but what they call 'Acoustic Display Technology' – which basically means it's across a larger area. Moto G7 Play
Smashed your phone or dropped it down the bog? This budget-friendly Motorola will see you through to the end of your contract ud83dude4c. It has a huge screen, so you can prop this phone up on a train table and binge the latest season of Peaky Blinders on Netflix. This smartphone also has a 40-hour battery life, which is THE reason to stick it straight in your basket. Price: £129.99Amazon.co.uk
OnePlus 7 Pro
First off, who's leaving inspirational quotes on this phone? Secondly, we're living for it! This phone launched earlier this year and has three cameras – WHAT!?! The best thing about this device is that it's mega fast. Forget buffering… you're in for the best binge-athon of your life.Price: £699.00Amazon.co.uk
Pssst... unfortunately, I didn't complete my mission in the 30-day trial 😔 - so I've ended up treating myself to Prime. It's only £7.99 a month, right?
