Some of this year’s Big Brother contestants are almost famous enough to appear on the Celebrity version of the show.
Don’t agree with us? Well, who’d even heard of Jasmine Waltz before she, er, waltzed into the CBB house? No one, that’s who.
Meanwhile in this summer’s civilian series, several of the HMs have already had a brush with fame (or been on the telly before), including Pauline Bennett who appeared on a flipping Kylie Minogue single in the 1990s.
Pauline rapped the rap bit in Kylie’s Shocked single and also appeared in what has to be the the most ‘90s music video of all time.
Jazzy P (as Pauline likes to be called) apparently told Kylie that her music was sh*t. We’re sure Kylie didn’t take it too personally as she’s still an international pop star and Pauline has just walked into the BB house
Then there’s cheeky Essex chappy Winston, who’s featured on ITV2 dating show* Girlfriends* – which was hosted by none other than Emma Willis.
And we have Helen Wood. Who did something naughty with Wanye Rooney and was in the papers for it. We’re guessing Coleen’s going to give this series of BB a miss.
And finally there’s Mark Byron – who it would seem has been trying to get famous for some time.
There’s his fairly excruciating X Factor audition (we’re not sure what’s worse, the hair or the voice) and don’t forget his appearance on the 2009 series of Shipwrecked. And Mark has also appeared as an extra on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
