Not so Fergalicious.

Making a return to music last week, the Black Eyed Peas have released a video for their new single Yesterday, without their female vocalist – aka Fergie – making an appearance.

A little bit less dance-pop and little but more hip-hop than their most famous tracks, the new vid sees Will.i.am, Aple.de.ap and Taboo jamming in a record store (so retro, darling). They make sneaky appearances on the covers without their feisty sidekick, Fergie, who took a break from music while having her first baby, Axl with actor hubby Josh Duhamel.

The singer previous told The Guardian that she grew tired of singing the band’s biggest hits such as Boom Boom Pow, saying: “When you perform songs every night, you do tend to get sick of listening to yourself.”

I Gotta Feeling Fergie’s feeling pretty fed up with it all.

DON'T MISS

In further controversy surrounding the new single, Erykah Badu also called out the video for it similarities to the Honey video she directed, both of which include artists walking through a record store, with the their faces appearing on the records.

She said: “I think THE BLACK EYED PEAS borrowed my idea a Lillo… I’m gone beat up Will I AM.”

She did say she was “flattered” however, and called the video “cute”.

Phew!
