The* X Facto*r final at Wembley Arena in less than two weeks’ time will be the first time choreographer Brian Freidman has worked at the venue for the show (it’s usually filmed at Fountain Studios in Wembley), but it’s not just the venue change that’s worrying him – he says he’s scared what will happen as NO duets or guest acts have yet been confirmed.
Speaking to us exclusively at the after party of the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards with Baileys, Brian said: “This weekend’s semi-final is tip-toeing into massive, but once we get into Wembley it’s my first time doing a show at Wembley for X Factor so it’s a dream.”
But his dream is close to becoming a nightmare, as Brian told us: “No one at this point has been confirmed, NO duets have been confirmed, NO guest acts have been confirmed, which scares me because normally we hear some rumblings about who it is but I haven’t heard anything.”
He is hopeful that the artists will be superstars, “I’m excited because I look forward to it,” said Brian. “It’s like my own personal concert, being able to go into rehearsals and watch them. In the past it’s been Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah [Carey], Christina [Aguilera] so fingers crossed it’s that calibre of artist.”
And he’s even waiting to hear back from show producers on whether he can make his own big ideas a reality. Brian added: “I’ve pitched all of my ideas for the final and I haven’t got the email back yet about what I can or can’t do but they’re putting all the numbers together from my wish list so we will see what happens. I want things flying in the air, crazy pyrotechnic moments – really good stuff.”
Let’s hope some decisions get made pretty soon or the fireworks could end up being kept in the box.
