Viewers were left baffled last night as the Britain's Got Talent live show was pulled off-air for a full 15 minutes amid huge technical difficulties.
Show bosses were forced to broadcast clips of old auditions to fill the gap before the live broadcast from London's Hammersmith Apollo resumed.
"We're having some issues - we hope to return to the show as soon as possible," an ITV announcement revealed at the time.
"We hope to return as soon as possible and we are working to fix the issue."
Once the technical issue had been resolved Dec Donelly - who is hosting the live shows without Ant McPartlin - apologised for the break and told viewers it was due to the severe storms in London.
"Welcome back, the weather has caused some technical difficulties so apparently some of you didn't get the first part of this episode at home."
Simon Cowell then joked that Ant was behind the blunder.
"I was just going to say, Ant you are coming back next year, you didn't have to do that," he teased.
