Brooks Way saw their X Factor dreams crumble into dust on Monday when ITV announced that they were being permanently removed from the show.
They've been replaced by Four Of Diamonds, another of Louis Walsh's groups, who lost out at the Judges' Houses stage of the competition to Bratavio – who were the first act to be voted off.
Seems fair (that Four of Diamonds have been reinstated – not that Bratavio went, we hearted them hard).
And Brooks Way were quick to reach out to the band that have taken their place.
Are they angry?
"So so happy for you girls! You deserve it," the Brooks brothers tweeted.
So, if they are pissed off, they're hiding it behind a cloak of magnanimity. Very wise.
"Thank you so much boys," gushed the girl band in response.
Brooks Way were removed from the weekend's live shows when allegations surfaced that Josh Brooks was violent towards his ex-girlfriend Amelia Clark.
ITV said: "After being absent from Saturday night’s first Live Show of 2016, Brooks Way and producers of The X Factor have decided by mutual consent that the group will leave the competition."
Josh denies the allegations, and said in the statement released by ITV: "Due to events in my personal life I've decided that it's best not to be on the show at this time. While not everything that has been claimed is true I would like to apologise to everyone involved."
The band have also denied the claims on Twitter, saying: "Today, we have had a tough day with a false allegation. Don't believe everything you read, both Amelia [Josh's ex] and Josh will be stating the truth."
And: "The truth always wins."
