Kyle and Josh Brooks AKA Brooks Way were pulled from *The X Factor *just hours before the live show was due to air on Saturday.
In statement released today, ITV confirmed that they've been axed permanently, saying: "After being absent from Saturday night’s first Live Show of 2016, Brooks Way and producers of The X Factor have decided by mutual consent that the group will leave the competition."
So, who will be taking their place?
Rylan Clark-Neal revealed on This Morning that they will be replaced by another band from Louis Walsh's groups category.
"I can confirm they will be replaced.
“It could be anyone, Yes Lad, Four of Diamonds…”
Fans are clamouring for a return of Yes Lad. But maybe it would be fairer to replace Brooks Way with Four of Diamonds who lost out to Bratavio at Judges' Houses, now that Bratavio have been kicked out – much to their confusion.
Some people with vaginas in Louis' groups category. Just imagine it!
Brooks Way were removed from The X Factor when it was alleged that Josh had been abusive towards a former girlfriend.
Josh denies the allegations, and said in the statement released by ITV: "Due to events in my personal life I've decided that it's best not to be on the show at this time. While not everything that has been claimed is true I would like to apologise to everyone involved."
The band have also denied the claims on Twitter, saying: "Today, we have had a tough day with a false allegation. Don't believe everything you read, both Amelia [Josh's ex] and Josh will be stating the truth."
And: "The truth always wins."
