We have actually just had to calm down a bit in order to write this story, because we got very, VERY excited at the teensiest hint Caggie Dunlop would be returning to Made In Chelsea for the upcoming series 7. Like, hugely excited. We might have even done a little wee.

Yes, we know we've been through the trauma of thinking she was coming back before. WE ALL REMEMBER THE RUN-UP TO SERIES 6, OKAY? When that show insider said she'd be facing off against Spencer Matthews' then-new-love Stephanie Pratt for four episodes?Because her music career hadn't panned out the way she wanted? And she thought a quick jaunt back to SW3 might help get it off the ground? Remember that? LIKE WE COULD EVER FORGET.

Sadly our hopes were dashed when Spenny's girlfriend quota for the last series exploded in a cloud of pheromones and Brylcreem. But E4, those dastardly beggars, have set our hearts aflame once again by posting this not-so-mysterious tweet earlier today:

They followed up with:

What's the significance of New York, we hear you cry out in your multitudes. Well it's only Caggie's favourite city, isn't it? She spent a year there studying at the Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute - plus it was the Big Apple she turned to at the end of series 1 when she wanted to get away from the Spencer drama.

Co-star and best friend Rosie Fortescue also tweeted this afternoon to ramp up the buzz. "MAJOR exciting news for Made in Chelsea," she told her followers.

And what of Chelsea's very own Greek god, Spencer? He tweeted a link to a ring by Caggie's fashion line ISWAI last Friday, and GET THIS: she retweeted it.

Conclusive evidence Caggie's coming back? Watch this space.
