Winston McKenzie cried after Gemma Collins confronted him during a task in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
It was revealed the politician once compared the adoption of a child by two gay men to child abuse.
According to the Metro, he said in November 2012: “To say to a child, ‘I am having you adopted by two men who kiss regularly but don’t worry about it’ – that is abuse.
“It is a violation of a child’s human rights because that child has no opportunity to grow up under normal circumstances.”
Before his eviction from the house on Friday night, fellow housemate Gemma spoke out against his views, which have been branded homophobic.
And The Only Way Is Essex star apparently made him feel so bad that he cried, telling Big Brother: “The people in this house believe that I’m a people hater, it does hurt to a certain extent.”

After telling her he shed some tears, the TOWIE favourite hit back: “Oh shut up Winston, you can’t have a strong view like that and not expect people to have an opinion on it.”
Hundreds of viewers also complained to Ofcom about Winston after he said in his video tape on launch night: “I’d cope with a homosexual in the house. I’d just have to be standing against a brick wall all the time.”
During his eviction interview, Winston was grilled by show host Emma Willis, who said his comments were “extremely offensive”.
Winston said: “I’m being portrayed as a people hater. There are people in life who are gay and have fought long and hard for their rights.
“When everything is done it’s the people who decide. We live in a democratic society. Thank God we have the opportunity to express our opinions.”
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm.
