Here at heat HQ we love watching celebrities making a fool of themselves on the telly. Whether it's putting their love lives on the line in Celebs Go Dating or basically just getting drunk and rowdy, and carrying out ridiculous shopping tasks, on Celebrity Big Brother (check out the rumoured line up here, btw).

However, we'd (probably) draw the line at celebs genuinely injuring themselves for our viewing pleasure. Which is why it doesn’t come as a huge shock that Channel 4's The Jump has reportedly been axed.

Around 34 celebrity contestants have suffered injuries over the show's four years on air, including Strictly dancer Ola Jordan, Spencer Matthews, Vogue Williams and Louisa Lytton, prompting show bosses to call it quits.

It's reportedly been decided that due to expensive insurance and medical costs the show will not be returning in 2018.

A source told The Sun: “It’s felt like The Jump has been on borrowed time for a while now as the injuries mount up series after series.

"The fact Channel 4 have decided against bringing it back next year suggests it’s not a loved property."

Another Channel 4 insider revealed that it's unlikely the show will return, as a the channel boss who commissioned the show is set to leave.

"By 2019, Channel 4 will have a brand-new chief who’ll want to make a mark with hot new shows of their own," they said.

Spencer Matthews The Jump

We'll definitely miss those all-in-one outfits, though.
