We thought things were all set for Celebrity Big Brother when the line-up of housemates was leaked.
But there has been some changes along the way, with The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward reportedly being replaced by controversial former Apprentice contestant Karthik Nageson.
And a couple of other names have now been thrown into the mix ahead of tonight’s series launch - Gabriela and Monica Irmia, better known as The Cheeky Girls.
The Romanian-born sisters rose to fame after auditioning for Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and went on to release the song they performed on the show, Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum), which sold more than 1.2million copies worldwide.
The girls have since taken a step back from public life but recently tweeted from the airport to say “see you in three days”, which just so happens to be the same day as the Celebrity Big Brother launch.
The sisters are apparently hoping an appearance on the show will enable them to make a showbiz comeback, with a source previously telling The Sun: “Gabriella and Monica have never done Big Brother - they’ve been waiting for the right moment.”
However, it seems they may not be a popular choice for housemates, with one fan of the show tweeting today: “If the Cheeky Girls actually go into #CBB I will shoot myself.”
Someone else added: “Guys… please tell me that the rumours of the Cheeky Girls going into #CBB are not true?!”
Other stars said to be taking part include former Ex On The Beach contestant Jemma Lucy, Ibiza Weekender star Jordan Davies and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding among others.
