There's been talk for quite some time that Cheryl will be returning to The X Factor as a judge this year.

And Dermot O'Leary practically confirmed it when he told Metro: "Cheryl’s going to come back."

However, it's now been reported that Cheryl's snubbed ITV for her return to TV judging, and has taken on a new mentoring role for BBC's new talent show The Greatest Dancer.

According to The Sun, Cheryl filmed a run-through of the programme which would see the former Girls Aloud star act as "dance captain."

The new dance show is set to be broadcast on BCC1 on Saturday nights and the test run saw Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo as hosts.

It's also been reported that Oti Mabuse - a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing - and Glee's Matthew Morrison will be part of the judging panel.

It seems as though Cheryl's been very busy lately, as she's also planning her big return to the music biz.

After teasing a potential Cheryl and Rak-Su collaboration recently, producer Naughty Boy's now revealed he's working on a 'great' song for her next album; and they're putting the finishing touches to it TODAY.

Chatting on Lorraine earlier this year, Naughty Boy spilled: "[She’s a] Lovely girl, we worked together before but it was with will.i.am and we didn’t meet. We met recently and we wrote a song, a great song for her album and I’m really happy with it.

"We’re finishing it later today actually."

We cannot wait to hear it!!
