Cheryl fans have been unable to contain their excitement on social media after hearing of her return to The X Factor.
The former Girls Aloud singer, who was previously a judge on the talent show before leaving in 2015, has made a comeback to help series boss Simon Cowell during the judges’ houses stage of the audition process.
The pop star has been easing her way back into work after welcoming baby Bear to the world in March and rumours she was heading back to the show have been doing the rounds for months.
On Friday, a picture surfaced of her getting camera-ready after her hair stylist Daya Ruci shared a snap of her ‘do on Instagram.
Daya wrote: “#hairfordays guess who! #holidaymood #grilledcheesesandwich.”
Cheryl’s fans were quick to reply, with one writing: “Perfect Cheryl princess.”
Another responded: “The British queen of pop.”
And someone else commented: “Look at them locks Queen C slaying.”
Cheryl, who rose to fame on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, joined Simon in Cannes, France to help him choose his acts to go through to the live finals of the show.
She was last seen on the ITV programme two years ago in 2015 after previously appearing from 2008 to 2010.
After her first run as a judge on the UK series, she left to appear on the US edition in 2011 but was axed just two weeks into filming.
