The 31-year-old was dripping in gems worth over £1,000,000 for the results show pn Sunday night.

The set of jewels was made up on a huge 35 carat rare Burmese yellow sapphire and diamond ring, worth £843,000 and 15 Carat Canary Yellow Diamond Drop Earrings worth £200,000.

Cheryl was lent the jewellery by designer Vashi Dominguez of Vashi.com after she hit the top spot in the UK singles charts with her latest track I Don’t Care.

The accolade marked the former Girls Aloud singer’s fifth number one and she wore the fancy jewels to mark the special occasion.

Chezza is now the first British female solo artist to have five number one singles and thanked her fans on Twitter for their support.

Last night’s show sparked outrage online after Louis Walsh let the vote go to deadlock and Paul Akister was given the boot, over Jay James.

Mel B was furious after Paul left the show and vented her wrath on The Xtra Factor, saying: “I think that's [Louis sending the vote to deadlock] wimping out a little bit to be honest, I really do. You have a feel of who you think is worthy of staying in the competition and you have that choice.

“People clearly aren't voting for the right people," she said. "I mean, that sing-off was incredible. Both of them sounded amazing.

“Paul – I'm just gutted for him. He's in my dressing room right now. I can't even say anything to console him. Like, this should never have happened like that.”

Mel was so peeved, she even shrugged off Dermot O’Leary live on stage when he asked her for a comment because she was so angry.

Luckily, the guys from REVIV were on hand to dish out some treatments for all the judges, so let's hope this made Mel feel a little better.
