Cheryl Fernandez-Versini ‘gets HUGE pay rise after signing up for X Factor return’

Big whoop for Cheryl!

Come on, let’s face it, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has always been Simon Cowell’s favourite X Factor judge, ever since she joined the show for the first time back in 2008.

So, it’s no surprise the music mogul wants the former Girls Aloud star back on the programme this year.

Chezza has probably let out a few “whoops” at news she’s returning, as she’s apparently getting a mahoosive pay rise in the process.

The singer has reportedly signed on the dotted line for this summer and is getting an extra £500,000 for doing so, having sealed a £2million deal.

But with Dermot O’Leary leaving as host and Louis Walsh saying he’s not really that bothered about returning to the panel, the series is undergoing a shake-up.

A source told The Sun: “Cheryl knew she was in an incredibly strong position because Simon was desperate to get her back.

“Mel [B] and Louis almost certainly aren’t re-signing, but Simon knows Cheryl is a huge draw.

“Her last contract was pretty impressive, but she is thrilled with this one.

“She loves the show anyway, but being given an extra half a million quid always helps. And as far as Simon is concerned it is money well spent.”

Where it all begin. Back in 2002 Cheryl was just another badly dressed wannabe singing for her stardom on Popstars: The Rivals. And boy did she sing.

In full party mode, Chezza opted for a scarf top cinched in with a belt and bootcut trews for a night on the town back in 2003. Yep, she's got belt chains. And what?

It's hard to believe but this is actually an awards ceremony outfit. Yep, in 2005 an off-the-shoulder top and tiered skirt were all a pop star needed to wow on the pavement. As it's Cheryl, her dimples did save her some.

Following the breakdown of her marriage, Cheryl lost weight and looked teeny tiny. Here in 2008 she showed how small her frame had become when she stepped out in grey trews and a white vest, both of which appeared to drown the petite star

Cheryl's Stephanie Rolland couture gown divided the heat office. Was her Cannes frock a bit too fashion or had Chezza hit the nail on the head?

Another Cannes look, this time one flashing a lot more flesh. Perhaps a little too much for the film festival crowd but there's no denying she looks pretty darn great
