Nothing says Christmas in Albert Square quite like a drunk Dean stumbling into the Vic about to drop a bombshell, tears around the tree and, erm, Danny Dyer smashing up the gaff.
The Christmas episodes (yes, there’s two) of EastEnders kicks off (quite literally) with the Carters (no, not Jay Z and Beyoncé – although, that would be amazing).
So far we’ve seen the Queen Vic landlord, Mick Carter’s softer side as a dedicated dad and family man – but we’re about to have ourselves a proper naughty little Christmas as Danny Dyer finally lives up to his hard-man image on the big day.
Mick’s meltdown comes after the cockney geezer makes the devastating discovery that his wife Linda, played by Kellie Bright, was raped by Dean and has been hiding it for months.
Talking to The Sun, a show source said: “This is going to be one of the most explosive episodes in EastEnders' history.
“Viewers will be stunned by just how mad Mick goes. The Vic is the most iconic place on Albert Square and there is something very symbolic about the bust behind the bar.
“Viewers have seen him be the most loving family man, who will go above and beyond for every one of them. But when he learns what happened to the woman he adores, he finds it impossible to control himself and flies into a rage.
“He goes berserk and picks up the Queen Vic bust and hurls it into the bar before smashing the place up.”
Recently talking to the Radio Times, Danny Dyer said: (It helps to read the following in your best Danny f**kin Dyer voice). "The audience will know that the bomb is going to go off - but they'll be asking themselves, 'How big is that bomb going to be?' And, let me tell you, it's nuclear.
"I'll put the question out there - how would you react if someone you loved was raped in your home by a person you'd been looking in the eye for the past three months?
"Whether you're a violent man or avoid violence at all costs, you are going to go insane. And I take insanity to a new level. Justice is served. Beautifully."
We wouldn’t expect anything less from the square over the festive period.
And if our EastEnders spoiler wasn't enough, here's a contender for the best Danny D tweet of all time...
