Everyone’s favourite WAG is now our favourite campmate — securing the biggest pay cheque in I’m A Celeb history – and sources say Coleen Rooney has been prepping for weeks to look amazing in the jungle. The 38 year old has had a series of tweakments and upped her workout game, ensuring that she looks and feels on top form.
A source says, ‘Coleen knew there would obviously be a lot of attention on her in the jungle, and although she’s fine being pictured in a bikini when she’s on holiday, she wanted to look the best she could for the cameras. She made sure was top of her fitness game before she left – she was going to spin classes, doing reformer Pilates, and had upped her number of workout sessions at the gym. She’d also been having regular facials, as well as a little bit of Botox, and made sure she had her lashes, nails and brows done before she went in.’
Coleen – who is mum to sons Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six – revealed in a pre-jungle interview that she wouldn’t be daunted by the strict diet of beans and rice enforced on the campmates every year. She said, ‘I don’t think small portions will be as hard as other things. I’m quite petite, and I do run around some days and miss a meal. But not on purpose, more because I’m so busy. When that happens, I don’t get hangry.’
The Liverpool-born mum is hoping she’ll go all the way to the final and has made preparations at home to ensure the household doesn’t fall apart without her. Her husband, Wayne, 39, is busy coaching Plymouth Argyle hundreds of miles from their Cheshire family home, so Coleen has had to put plans in place for her four sons. Last week, she revealed she’d filled two boards with details of parties, pick-ups and drop-offs for the next four weeks.
She said, ‘I’ve planned, I’ve prepped, I’ve got an army of people – family, friends, school friends – all helping out with the kids.’
She also left behind a personal touch for her children, saying, ‘I wrote them all a little card each, and left a little teddy, so that they know I am constantly thinking of them.’
