Daniel Craig has stoked rumours he’s planning to quit as James Bond – the actor has signed up for a new TV show.

The actor has played 007 in four films since 2006 but how now signed up to film US drama series Purity.

And it’s thought the filming of the show will clash with pre-production of the upcoming James Bond movie.

In October last year, the star said he would rather “slash his writes” than appear in another film from the franchise.

According to the Daily Mirror, an industry insider said: “Daniel’s commitment to this project really makes his return as James Bond a serious doubt.

“Once the TV show gets greenlit then it will need a few weeks for casting and then pre-prod before filming begins.

“It is likely that the show may be still filming at Christmas. MGM had hoped to get the next Bond film on screen in 2017 with Daniel at the helm.

“That may be problematic, and also adds to their concerns after Daniel admitted last year he was unsure if he would continue in the role.

“Daniel has left the year free so far to make Purity work, so out of the two productions it is clear that is where his head is at.”
