Danny Mac, he of the pretty doe eyes and the insanely ripped bod, has spoken out about claims Strictly Come Dancing is fixed to allow the more talented contestants to shine.
Speaking to heat magazine about his dancefloor stint, he said there is "no way" the BBC1 hit show could be fixed, following claims from former dancer James Jordan that producers favour some of the professionals with celebs who have a background in dance.
So. Danny. Tell us. Is Strictly fixed?
"Oh my goodness, no way. Daisy did an amazing, beautiful routine. Len is the expert and he loved it. But once you've been up the top, it's hard to maintain that."
You're not planning to trip her up backstage then?
"Oh no. I'm only in competition with myself and we are all such a nice group. We've got a Whatsapp group, so everyone's on there with the banter and the chat. We're the only ones who get what we're going through – the 10 hours of training every day. Oti's really, really pushing me. I'm waking up like a 70-year-old man every day."
Are you missing your fiancee [actress Carley Stenson]?
"Oh, it's OK – we're staying in London, so we do still make sure we have time together. It just means staying in instead of going out."
Did it annoy her when Tess Daly said you and Oti "make a rather hot couple"?
"I'm not… it's just… it's completely irrelevant. We've had dinner with Oti and her husband, it's all great."
A couple of contestants are single, have you seen much flirting backstage?
"No, only between me and Greg Rutherford."
