The lovely Dermy (Dermot O’Leary) revealed there will be not one, but two of The X Factor contestants to leave the show tonight.

After the ITV show judges were thrilled to have chosen their wildcard contestants, Dermot dropped the huge bombshell: “Everybody at home had seriously better get voting for their favourite acts.

“May I also add that this year, fans can vote for free for the very first time in the show’s history via The X Factor app.

“You’re allowed five votes each week. So please get voting.”

The news came as quite a shock to the 16 finalists, who all admitted they were nervous ahead of their performances on Saturday.

The eight-piece wild card boy band, who revealed they have named themselves Stereo Kicks, sang another one of Katy Perry's songs Roar. Simon Cowell admitted to the band afterwards: “You just blew Overload Generation off the stage!”

Fellow contestants, Paul Akister, Chloe Jasmine, Lauren Platt, Fleur East and Jay James also impressed the judges with their performances.
