Now that Dermot O’Leary has left as host of the X Factor, he can do whatever he likes – maybe he wants to chill out at home, perhaps he’s going to train as an astronaut, or he could even play Simon Cowell at his own game and launch a record company.
Well, whatever he does, one fellow television star has already thought up some future plans for him.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood thinks Dermot would be excellent on the BBC ballroom dance contest now he’s left his ITV show.
He told the Daily Mirror: “Now we can get Dermot, I’d love to see him dancing on Strictly.
“I’ve heard that he might be quite good actually.”
Well, this could be true: let’s not forget those little routines he used to do at the beginning of the X Factor live shows and he did dance for 24 hours straight in a bid to raise loads of cash for Comic Relief.
Dermot being on the show wouldn't be the first X Factor link either after former Xtra Factor host and new presenter of the upcoming main show, Caroline Flack, won last year.
Go on, Dermot! Give it a go!
