Television's queen of camp and duchess of deadly fizz Diane Carson – who let's be honest, MADE The Traitors series 2 as iconic as it was (frankly, her on-screen funeral will forever be burned into our brains) – has had quite the showbiz career since finding fame on the hit BBC series.
From starring on Would I Lie To You? to Celebrity MasterChef to introducing B*Witched to the stage at last year's Mighty Hoopla (a personal highlight of ours) – she's going nowhere.
And I can personally vouch for that as I've just launched a podcast called Spill the Fizz with her. Hi babs, I'm Beary Poppins, London drag queen and digital writer at Bauer Media and pinch me, because have all my gay dreams just come true?

We announced our new podcast at RuPaul’s DragCon UK in January 2025 (just to really cement the campness) and I'm thrilled to announce that we have now hard LAUNCHED (after soft launching for weeks and weeks – sorry about that, but you know...drama) and you can listen to episode one, 'Diane and The Drag Queen' on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you pod, really.
What's the podcast about? Basically, me and our Di are new besties and we've decided to get to know each other better every week over a bottle of fizz (ofc), with special guests, gorgeous games, gay icon training (you heard) and a whole load of fizz spilling (jokes aside, NO FIZZ WILL ACTUALLY BE SPILLED IN THE MAKING OF THIS PODCAST – that's sacrilege).
In our first episode, you'll join us as we navigate the pilot episode of our new podcast and listen on as Diane spills the fizz on all things Traitors (including her thoughts on The Traitors season 3 👀), I open up about what lies behind the glitz and glamour of drag, and we reveal the spiritual sign that convinced them to launch a podcast together.
You'll also learn about some of our hilarious antics together so far; including the time we got locked in Diane's Premier Inn room together (in the dark 👀👀). Oh, and all this over a bottle of fizz, of course. Each week, we will spill ALL over a bottle of fizzy rose, and this week, it's Kylie Minogue Prosecco Rosé (or 'the rough one' as our Di calls it – not the Kylie shade).
Speaking of the podcast ahead of its launch, Diane told heatworld, ‘I'm excited to be entering into the world of podcasting as it provides me with yet another unique opportunity.
‘I met Beary Poppins when he was assigned to interview me for heat and we got on like a house on fire. We had such a laugh at another face-to-face interview that we kept in contact.’
She continued, ‘The relationship just works - despite the many differences: age, background, morals (Beary wouldn't let me 'borrow' a wine glass out of a pub!) and interests.
‘A regular podcast provides a great opportunity to get to know each other deeper. We always have a laugh together and we look forward to sharing those laughs with you lovely lot.'
This is giving Diane's my English teacher at school and I'm the teacher's pet. I love it, obv.
