SPOOOILLLERRRRRRS
We at heat (and most of Twitter tbh) have mixed feelings about last night’s Doctor Foster finale.
On the one hand, we’re still trying to slow down our hearts and steady our shaking hands after that dramatic af jumping in front of cars debacle.
But on the other hand, WHAT was that ending?
Is it weird we’re disappointed no-one died?
Anyway. Another of the major talking points from last night’s episode involves the champagne cork from that flashback scene in which Gemma and Simon are sitting in the garden.
To recap, the couple were sitting together on their patio in happier times chatting about Tom, when Simon popped the bottle.
This was when viewers started noticing a huge continuity error.
In the first shot, the cork appeared to be plastic – then went flying somewhere far away in the garden.
But in the next, the cork had magically come flying back to Simon’s hand – and, even more impressively, it had turned into an actual cork made of cork.
C’mon, prop guy, you had one job!
Predictably, Twitter went mental with the realisation.
