This week sees series two of everyone's fave BBC telly drama Doctor Foster come to a dead dramatic conclusion as we come to some kind of conclusion on the whole Gemma/Simon Foster FURORE. Not gonna spoil anything for those of you who might be behind on Netflix, but DID SHE DO IT OR WHAT?
Anyway, as we face the very real possibility of having no new episodes of the show ever, actress Sara Stewart has opened up about the possibility of a third season the nation's literally crying out for.
You may recall Doctor Foster creator Mark Bartlett recently broke some borderline-devastating news to Radio Times, telling them: "Depending on what happens at the end of series two, a third might not be possible. That’s all I can say really."
So does Sara, who plays Kate's mum Susie Parks, have more deets to divulge? "I’m not aware of any plans for another series," she told the Mirror. "When you sign a contract for one series there’s an option for another but I haven’t heard anything."
We hate to say it but this doesn't sound too promising, does it?
This all comes after actor Neil Stuke revealed the show's cast have been banned from social media to avoid any accidental spoiler leaks ahead of the big series two finale, telling the Daily Star: "We're not allowed to do anything [on social media]. I couldn't post any pictures of the Maserati I got to drive in last week's episode.
"Everything is under lock and key. The plots are kept top secret. We haven't been able to talk to anybody about it - I didn't even talk to my other half...I think people are going to be really shocked and surprised."
Doctor Foster concludes tomorrow night at 9pm on BBC One.
