Honestly, Drag Race UK single-handedly gets us through November year on year. In October we have Big Brother, November we have RuPaul's Drag Race UK, and in December... well, we're too sh*t faced on free mulled wine to notice the passage of time, tbh. Anyone else?
Anyway, our point is, we're Drag Race superfans here at heat Towers, so OF COURSE, we simply had to get the Drag Race UK series six final four, La Voix, Kyran Thrax, Rileasa Slaves and Marmalade in to film an episode of our chaotic YouTube series, Drag Bags, and spill some major tea ahead of the final.
And for real, there was enough tea spilled to put a Whittard out of business, but one particular drop of tea seriously scalded us. And it hurt so good.
Casually speaking about all the juicy drag goodies just lying around the Drag Race Werk Room week after week, besties La Voix and Kyran casually dropped that they went on a mass thieving spree while filming the series, revealing some of the truly wild items they pinched from the set because they are all of us and the Cozzy Livs is real, huns.
La Voix kicked things off by admitting, ‘I’m a kleptomaniac. I steal everything. My advice if you ever do Drag Race is take an empty suitcase – you can steal more. I couldn’t steal enough, could you?’
To which Kyran replied, 'I stole hairspray and a pair of straighteners.’
La Voix added, ‘I stole my Shirley Bassey dress. Why? I mean it was awful. I would never wear anything like that. And I stole hangers.'
Kyran laughed and replied, ‘You’re awful. Of all the things to steal on Drag Race…’
To which La Voix added, ‘Hangers and polystyrene heads were gold dust on [Drag Race].’
No, but we get it. Going on Drag Race UK must cost these queens serious money, honey, especially considering Ru basically shuns anything bought off the high street.
And so, we now have our top four finalists within snatching distance of the crown. Who will be the UK’s Next Drag Superstar? Will it be: Kyran Thrax, La Voix, Marmalade or Rileasa Slaves? All will be ru-vealed in tonight's final of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK airing at 8pm on BBC iPlayer.
