Duncan Bannatyne has hit out at claims he and Tony Hadley bullied Lady Colin Campbell on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
The former Drangons’ Den star was evicted from the camp on Thursday night after Lady C slammed the businessman and singer Tony for their behaviour towards her following her departure from the jungle.
It was claimed the socialite left the ITV show this week on medical grounds but her son Dima insisted she was fine, and she has since said Duncan and Tony have “earned my disregard”.
When asked about accusations of bullying, Duncan is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: “Nobody with an ounce of common sense would consider that Tony and I bullied anyone.
“Tony is a wonderful guy, fantastic family man, loves his family and is missing them to bits.
“I went in there to face the challenge and I’m really glad I did it and that’s it. As I say, no negativity in my life.”
It has been claimed Lady Colin is thinking of taking legal action against the two men but Duncan doesn’t seem fazed.
He said: “No one is going to sue anyone. Nobody.
“I’m 100% confident, I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever. We didn’t swear at anybody, we didn’t call anybody ‘oiks’, we didn’t call anybody names.
“Tony and I can sleep at night. We have no guilty consciences whatsoever.”
In fact, Duncan said he got so low living in the camp with Lady Colin, he actually thought about leaving himself.
When asked what his lowest point was, he said: “It was actually the day before Lady C left.
“I was feeling really down and I was ready to leave then. I was cracking up inside. In a normal situation when someone is negative you can walk away. In there you can’t.”
Ouch!
