Peggy Mitchell’s shock return to EastEnders has sparked speculation her son Grant will also come back to the soap.
Legendary character Peggy, played by Barbara Windsor, reprised her role on the BBC programme last night and told her other son Phil that her cancer had returned and she was dying.
Ross Kemp, who plays the character of Grant, previously said he would be open to a return to the show and now it’s thought he might return for Peggy’s funeral.
After Peggy’s return, one viewer tweeted: “Missed Peggy Mitchell, now they need to bring back Grant.”

Another wrote: “Phil Mitchell’s lost his way, need Grant and Peggy back to get him under control.”
And someone else posted: “This best be a Mitchell reunion you know.”
Last year, actor Ross tweeted that he would like to return to the soap and then later spoke about rumours he would appear again.
He told Mirror Online: “Everyone wants to know about EastEnders, and at the moment I don’t know, so I can’t really say anything. There has been rumours and I have never said that I wouldn’t go back.”
